Frequently Asked Questions

Safety Sensor Topic: Auxiliary Output

FAQ No. FAQ02413

Question

What is an auxiliary output?

Answer

The default setting of the output is the reverse signal of the control output. It is only an auxiliary output, so do not use it as a control output for a safety circuit.

For F3SN-A and F3SH Series, the output operation mode can be selected using Setting Console F39-MC11.

  • Dark-ON output = Control output and its reverse signal (default setting)

  • Light-ON output = Synchronized with the control output

  • Light diagnosis output

  • Lockout output

  • Outermost-beam monitoring output

  • Specified-beam output

  • Blanking monitoring output (F3SN-A only)

F3SL Series Safety Light Curtains

A signal is output in sync with the control output. It is only an auxiliary output, so do not use it as a control output for a safety circuit.
