Power Supply Featuring OMRON’s Unique, New Under-voltage Alarm Function with Compact Body Contributing to Machine Downsizing

  • New under-voltage alarm function assists in determining causes of errors (S8VM-[][][]24A[]/P[] only).

  • Power failure alarm function provides notification of output voltage errors (300-, 600-, and 1,500-W models only).

  • Broad range of possibilities with 8 capacities and 29 models to choose from.

  • RoHS-compliant including lead-free construction.

  • New, attentive design prevents screws from falling out of terminal block (except for output terminals of 300-, 600-, and 1,500-W models).

New Under-voltage Alarm Function (S8VM-[][][]24A[] only)

 

Ever experienced sudden machine trouble and found great difficulty in determining the cause? OMRON's unique, new under-voltage alarm function uses the LED display to notify when errors have occurred. This function aids in determining the cause of errors, whether due to momentary power failure, overloads, or output drops at the end of Power Supply's life.

Ultra-compact Design

 

Would you like to easily install in available space in the machine or in handy locations in the control section? To improve machine downsizing and performance, OMRON has utilized unique technology to dramatically reduce the size by 40% (compared with the S8PS 50-W Open-frame Models). As a result, the Power Supply can be installed in narrow spaces.

Compatible with High-temperature Environments

 

There's no need to be anxious about heat generation due to a compact control section. The ultra-compact Power Supply can be used with a load rate of up to 100% even at an ambient temperature of 50°C (using standard mounting for Open-frame Models).

Terminal Screws that Do Not Fall Off

 

Are terminal screws inadvertently falling off during installation? The smaller the control section, the more difficult the installation work becomes. The attentive design of the S8VM in which screws do not fall out of the terminal block significantly improves onsite installation work. Finger protection is also provided to prevent electrical shock.

Simple DIN Rail Mounting

 

Do you encounter great difficulty in installing the Power Supply or removing it for maintenance due to its depth? As a pioneer in DIN Rails, OMRON has solved this problem. Installation and removal can be performed with just one touch, dramatically reducing work time. Moreover, secure installation is possible without requiring extra mounting brackets, and vibration is not a problem.

Color Labels Providing Identification

 

Need to eliminate careless mistakes in assembly and when dealing with overseas installations? The S8VM utilizes color labels to enable easily identifying voltages using separate colors. When dealing with overseas installations, confirmation by label color prevents communication misunderstandings that are likely to occur otherwise.
